Become an educated client: (you are) never a patient
Dr. Van sees new clients via personal referral only (he's never advertised) and has an array of tools to evaluate your unique biochemistry, physiology and nutritional needs. We do NOT use isolated, fractionated supplements (vitamins, minerals, fatty and amino acids) except to temporarily steer the biochemical boat in the right direction. After that, we prefer to use whole, organically grown, enzyme-rich foods and adaptogenic herbs - highly compressed & concentrated.
Several options are available to consult Dr. Van:
Option #1: Becoming a client
Individual Consultations conducted over the course of three or more appointments
First Consultation: $750
Duration: 2.5-3 hours
This session includes a full personal history based on nutritional choices from conception, to birth, to the present. We are less impressed by the name of your disease or your condition (after all, to insurance companies, the name of the game is the name) but rather prefer to make ourselves acutely aware of your personal physiological and biochemical journey because, after all, the past influences create your present circumstances. Sophisticated, non-invasive and safe instrumentation, laboratory results and modern techniques will be used to further confirm our preliminary findings. This first office visit is confirmed upon receipt of a $350 non-refundable deposit.
Second Consultation: $595
Duration: 1.5-2:00 hours
At this juncture we discuss your initial reactions to the program and lifestyle adjustments including a baseline review of the current scientific literature pertaining to your condition(s); we thoroughly examine results from your first consultation and devise a more detailed, representative course of action - which may include more non-invasive testing or use testing results from your primary physician.
Third and Subsequent Consultations: $450
Duration: 1.5 hours
At this point we build upon and tweak previous nutritional recommendations, anticipating and meeting your evolving individual needs to prevent degeneration and chronic, systemic inflammation (smoldering), while maintaining optimal health and continued wellness. These visits are rescheduled every three months (or less, depending on individual need) with a minimum schedule of twice yearly.
OR...........
Option #2: Microscopic LCA/Bolen's Testing & Urinalysis: $250
This 30-45 minute appointment is restricted to a Microscopic Analysis without a follow-up appointment, and is appropriate for healthier individuals who have been with Dr. Van for some time. It is also suggested for those who would like to become acquainted with Dr. Van and his methods before becoming a client.
Recommendations for highly concentrated food and herb formulas are provided (Isolated fractions are not suggested with this type of consultation). The $250 non-refundable fee is collected when scheduling the appointment. For those who wish to become a full client after this Introduction to PHIC, the cost of the 30- minute appointment can be applied to the first office visit (See Option #1). This consultation is preferably scheduled as the last appointment of the day.
For individuals with more serious health concerns, we recommend you become a client to receive an appropriate amount of support (See Option #1).
OR
Option #3: Phone and/or Skype appointments
For those too far away or unable to reach PHIC, we conveniently offer appointments conducted over the phone and via Zoom or Skype. These remote consultations do not include a Microscopic Analysis and are available to those who cannot come to the office or who live outside the tri-state area or abroad.
Regardless of which option you choose, please be aware of the following for your first office visit:
Please note that all credit card transactions will incur a 3.5% processing fee. Checks and cash are always preferred.

- Bring a first-morning urine in a sterilized or super-clean container - such as a small film canister;
- Please wear comfortable shoes & clothing and do not use any make-up, perfume, skin creams, etc.;
- Bring (a list of) any/all drugs & supplements you are presently taking as well as the latest lab-X ray reports;
